POSITION SUMMARY

The Café Shift Leader will provide leadership to deliver a remarkable experience for our customers and co-workers as it relates to Colectivo Coffee’s Mission and Values, under the supervision of the Café Manager.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver café’s positive financial results in accordance to budget.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement that adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes.
  • Train and develop co-workers for the responsibilities of their jobs, which ensure a high level of their overall performance.
  • Delegate specific responsibilities using Café Functional Architecture Model.
  • Ensures the café’s coffee, food and administrative functions provide a remarkable customer experience with Colectivo’s people, products and environments.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to our customers and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

College degree in a business-related field and/or a minimum of 6 months work experience in a hospitality setting and/or supervisory role.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient skill level for POS and computer programs.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics for business usage.
  • Availability and flexibility for schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:

Our cafe staff are the face of the company to all our customers and provide the customer with an overall satisfactory coffee experience. They perform various functions that include, but are not limited to, taking customer orders, coffee and food preparation, barista, cash handling, and cafe maintenance. They are required to be knowledgeable about all aspects of our coffee, food, retail, and other products in order to maintain the highest standards of excellence.

  • Providing an exceptional coffee experience in the cafe.
  • Preparing all coffee and specialty coffee drinks to the highest company standards.

The 3rd Shift Packer & Prep is responsible for packaging bread and prepping other food items with attention to quality and efficiency as it relates to Colectivo and Troubadour’s Mission and Values.

  • Slice bread loaves and buns.
  • Package bread into bags.
  • Organize orders and pack bread accordingly.
  • Pack other orders as needed.
  • Prep smoothies and other general prep as needed.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery safely.
  • Work clean while following Food Safety Procedures.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure food and personal safety.

POSITION SUMMARY

The 3rd Shift Production Baker’s daily responsibility is to collaborate with other members of the bakery team and to complete the tasks necessary to meet the needs of bread production as it relates to Colectivo and Troubadour’s Mission and Values.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all bakery areas and equipment are safe and sanitary in accordance with food handling procedures; keep area clean throughout shift and follow cleaning procedures at end of shift.
  • Accurately follow formulas in the preparation of all dough correctly and safely utilize all mixing, lamination and baking equipment.
  • Precisely scale, shape and score loaves. Assure finished baked products meet quality standards.
  • Mix, mould, prepare, and bake pastry shells as required.
  • Maintain correct inventory, recommend replenishment orders and properly store, date and rotate inventory items.
  • Organize ingredient storage and all supplies and equipment.
  • Read and follow recipes in order to complete them accurately and efficiently.
  • Portion dough accurately and efficiently.
  • Work on the table to hand shape dough to specification.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery safely.
  • Work clean while following Food Safety Procedures.
  • Review production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily baking activity.
  • Accurate mixing of ingredients and portioning to fulfill quantities needed for daily production and to ensure consistency in the finished product.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Coffee Training Manager is responsible for coffee and espresso training to co-workers, wholesale customers and contract partners in relation to Colectivo Coffee’s Mission, Vision and Goals.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach all aspects of the Barista position beginning with drink making skills to co-workers and outside customers.
  • Develop and/or update espresso drink making curriculum that can be successfully marketed to outside customers.
  • Trains, audits, develops and monitors performance of our contract customers (SSP America) in relation to coffee and food.
  • Assess co-worker training levels and communicate training needs and progress with café managers.
  • Coordinate training schedule with various departments and outside customers.
  • Coordinate special coffee-related events to build and maintain a coffee culture that is open to staff and community.
  • Provide and encourage continuous education to co-workers and wholesale customers.
  • Develop, organize and trains to the coffee-related training materials including course materials, SOP’s and policies.
  • With assistance from others, develops new drinks as required.
  • Develops and manages coffee trainers.
  • Create and manage the barista audits with the assistance of managers.
  • Administrative duties such as: tracking training hours, training status updates, certification tracking, etc.
  • Lead and direct the Lightning Rod program.
  • Lead and direct the Backstage Barista Program.
  • During high volume times, coordinate alternative training opportunities whether they be on-site, with a whole-sale client, in a Colectivo Café, or in the Beta Training Lab at the Prospect Café.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires 1-3 years experience as a Lightning Rod and/or Barista with a strong desire for learning and continuing coffee knowledge.
  • The Coffee Training Manager needs to be an effective communicator, self-driven, and organized. The Coffee Training Manager also must have an open mind, patience and possess the ability to teach and explain.
  • Industry organization involvement preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Roaster is to roast green coffee to the standard set by Colectivo in a safe and efficient manner as it relates to Colectivo’s Mission and Vision.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Roasting coffee according to Colectivo’s specification in a consistent, efficient and safe manner.

  • Cupping and tasting different varieties of coffee to help build sensory knowledge.

  • Monitoring daily inventory and adjusting roasted coffee production accordingly.

  • Organizing and maintaining green coffee and roasted coffee storage areas.

  • Cleaning and maintaining roasters/roasting areas to ensure personal and co-worker safety and product integrity.

  • Continuing coffee knowledge and education by attending industry events, classes and reviewing industry publications.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Interest and passion for quality coffee is a must. Ability to stay focused and attentive to repetitive tasks is essential. Ability to train, use and operate a forklift. Ability to lift at least 100lbs throughout the day and work on your feet in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Technician performs maintenance on various coffee brewing and other café equipment for retail and wholesale customers and ensures that the best possible customer experience is delivered by embracing the spirit and goals of Colectivo Coffee’s Mission and Values.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the maintenance of café equipment for inside and outside customers including espresso machines, coffee brewers, refrigerators, and other machinery.
  • Responsible for the installation of café equipment for inside and outside customers in new and current cafes.
  • Responsible for building maintenance for company retail locations.
  • Responsible for assisting customers with equipment questions or problems to ensure their complete satisfaction.
  • Responsible for company tool and vehicle maintenance to ensure personal and co-worker safety.
  • Take ownership of task assignments in the service department while supporting a dynamic and creative team environment driven by a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Follow the department problem resolution model which includes: Diagnosis, resolution design and development, repair preparation, performing repair, testing, verification and reporting.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring that Colectivo food and coffee products are delivered punctually, carefully and professionally to Colectivo customers and cafes. The driver may be a frequent point of contact with Colectivo customers and therefore is a representative for Colectivo with good customer service skills.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Slice and bag bread.
  • Sort and put together orders.
  • Delivery of product in a timely, safe and quality manner with invoices or other necessary documentation.
  • Provide friendly and respectful customer service to co-workers, vendors and customers.
  • Collect payments for COD accounts, signed invoices and other documentation as applicable.
  • Shelve inventory at cafes and customers, as requested.
  • Return empty containers to Colectivo, as needed.
  • Maintain vehicle including cleaning, fueling, fluid level checks and notification of oil changes.
  • Relay all issues, comments and concerns from customers to Manager, Sales Reps and/or Sales Support.
  • Clean work areas as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and consistent driving record to ensure quality customer service and transportation of product.
  • Pickup product as scheduled or requested.
  • Will assist or fill in for other driver routes, as needed
  • Assist with additional maintenance and support duties as requested by Manager.

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Clean driving record and valid Wisconsin driver license. Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. Great customer service skills. Ability to read map and take directions. Must be available to work holidays.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Packer is responsible to accurately, efficiently and safely perform duties required to prepare and deliver customer orders to Colectivo retail, café and wholesale customers via conveyor, UPS, USPS, Truck or Colectivo delivery drivers. Products to be delivered include coffee, tea, café related wholesale items and service parts.

 

Job Duties

  • Perform administrative duties as required by Supervisor.
  • Prepare sales orders, packaging and other materials as specified on customer notes pages, frac sheets or other documentation.
  • Fulfill customer orders by accurately and efficiently identifying product, counting, weighing, blending, grinding, packaging, reporting  and marking and staging product for delivery to retail and wholesale customers.
  • Build back-stock inventory as requested by supervisor or standard department inventory process.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, and completing housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Setup and process frac orders as required.
  • Setup and process Matrix frac machine as required.
  • Setup and process bulk grinders as required.
  • Create labels for UPS, USPS orders and process invoicing on the computer as assigned by supervisor.
  • Receive, stock and re-stock inventory as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform inventory audits as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
