Department: Retail
Reports to: Café Manager
Status: Full-Time/Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Café Shift Leader will provide leadership to deliver a remarkable experience for our customers and co-workers as it relates to Colectivo Coffee’s Mission and Values, under the supervision of the Café Manager.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver café’s positive financial results in accordance to budget.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement that adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes.
  • Train and develop co-workers for the responsibilities of their jobs, which ensure a high level of their overall performance.
  • Delegate specific responsibilities using Café Functional Architecture Model.
  • Ensures the café’s coffee, food and administrative functions provide a remarkable customer experience with Colectivo’s people, products and environments.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to our customers and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

College degree in a business-related field and/or a minimum of 6 months work experience in a hospitality setting and/or supervisory role.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient skill level for POS and computer programs.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics for business usage.
  • Availability and flexibility for schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to see, read and write in English.

Job Summary:

Our cafe staff are the face of the company to all our customers and provide the customer with an overall satisfactory coffee experience. They perform various functions that include, but are not limited to, taking customer orders, coffee and food preparation, barista, cash handling, and cafe maintenance. They are required to be knowledgeable about all aspects of our coffee, food, retail, and other products in order to maintain the highest standards of excellence.

Duties Include:
  • Providing an exceptional coffee experience in the cafe.
  • Preparing all coffee and specialty coffee drinks to the highest company standards.
  • Assisting customers with courteous and swift service.
  • Cleaning and maintaining cafe and all equipment.
  • Following food and safety guidelines.
  • Facilitating personal learning and career development by attending training classes and initiating on the training.
Requirements:

6 months to 1 year previous espresso preparation experience preferred, and customer service experience in a restaurant or retail setting

Bakery Opportunities

Department: Troubadour Bakery
Reports to: Bakery Production Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The 3rd Shift Production Baker’s daily responsibility is to collaborate with other members of the bakery team and to complete the tasks necessary to meet the needs of bread production as it relates to Colectivo and Troubadour’s Mission and Values.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all bakery areas and equipment are safe and sanitary in accordance with food handling procedures; keep area clean throughout shift and follow cleaning procedures at end of shift.
  • Accurately follow formulas in the preparation of all dough correctly and safely utilize all mixing, lamination and baking equipment.
  • Precisely scale, shape and score loaves. Assure finished baked products meet quality standards.
  • Mix, mould, prepare, and bake pastry shells as required.
  • Maintain correct inventory, recommend replenishment orders and properly store, date and rotate inventory items.
  • Organize ingredient storage and all supplies and equipment.
  • Read and follow recipes in order to complete them accurately and efficiently.
  • Portion dough accurately and efficiently.
  • Work on the table to hand shape dough to specification.
  • Operate and maintain production machinery safely.
  • Work clean while following Food Safety Procedures.
  • Review production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily baking activity.
  • Accurate mixing of ingredients and portioning to fulfill quantities needed for daily production and to ensure consistency in the finished product.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure food and personal safety.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic reading and math skills. Must be willing to communicate and follow directions. Must be detail-oriented. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.

POSITION SUMMARY
The systems support position is responsible for basic troubleshooting and general maintenance of technical systems. This position will focus on physical maintenance of technical systems, reconfiguring existing installations, and deploying new hardware. Systems Support will work closely with cafe locations to keep technical systems operating on a daily basis while providing upgrades for the future.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deploy, maintain, and support all Colectivo technical systems such as, but not limited to: data networks, computer systems, smartphones, and printers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and computer issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Physically organize and simplify network and computer hardware setups.
• Create and maintain documentation of network and computer systems.
• Take and maintain inventory of supplies and parts.
• Support POS tasks: terminal configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting (software) as well as application of to assist users’ needs and inquiries.
• Installation of mounted hardware such as cameras and WiFi APs.
• Manage recycling and disposal of old hardware.
• Develop and maintain a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to our customers and co-workers.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with Windows and other operating systems.
• Some experience preferred with basic computer and networking systems.
• Understanding of troubleshooting concepts.
• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver license and willing to travel in the Milwaukee/Madison/Chicago area to resolve issues.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights, weekends, holidays and on call.
• Basic capability of usage of hand and small power tools, ladders, etc.
• Must be trustworthy, able to work independently, and possess clear communication and organizational skills.
• Strong ambition and willingness to learn; technical aptitude.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Technician performs maintenance on various coffee brewing and other café equipment for retail and wholesale customers and ensures that the best possible customer experience is delivered by embracing the spirit and goals of Colectivo Coffee’s Mission and Values.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the maintenance of café equipment for inside and outside customers including espresso machines, coffee brewers, refrigerators, and other machinery.
  • Responsible for the installation of café equipment for inside and outside customers in new and current cafes.
  • Responsible for building maintenance for company retail locations.
  • Responsible for assisting customers with equipment questions or problems to ensure their complete satisfaction.
  • Responsible for company tool and vehicle maintenance to ensure personal and co-worker safety.
  • Take ownership of task assignments in the service department while supporting a dynamic and creative team environment driven by a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Follow the department problem resolution model which includes: Diagnosis, resolution design and development, repair preparation, performing repair, testing, verification and reporting.
  • Maintain a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to our customers and co-workers.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be able to lift at least 100lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Requires a flexible schedule to perform duties such as, but not limited to: after-close café preventative maintenance, 24×7 on call support, special event set-up, etc.

Department: Wholesale / Bakery
Reports to: Logistics Manager
Exempt/Non: Non

Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring that Colectivo food and coffee products are delivered punctually, carefully and professionally to Colectivo customers and cafes. The driver may be a frequent point of contact with Colectivo customers and therefore is a representative for Colectivo with good customer service skills.

Duties Include:
  • Delivery of product in a timely, safe and quality manner with invoices or other necessary documentation.
  • Provide friendly and respectful customer service to co-workers, vendors and customers.
  • Understand and provide Colectivo product knowledge to wholesale and retail customers.
  • Collect payments for COD accounts, signed invoices and other documentation as applicable.
  • Shelve inventory at cafes and customers, as requested.
  • Return empty containers to Colectivo, as needed.
  • Maintain vehicle including cleaning, fueling, fluid level checks and notification of oil changes.
  • Relay all issues, comments and concerns from customers to Manager, Sales Reps and/or Sales Support and looking for continually improve processes and service.
  • Clean work areas as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and consistent driving record to ensure quality customer service and transportation of product.
  • Pickup product as scheduled or requested.
  • Assist with additional maintenance and support duties as requested by Manager.
Requirements:
  •  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driving record and valid Wisconsin driver license.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions.
