Bakery Intern

This position is an entry level position involving all aspects of bakery production. The position involves receiving training and implementing learned skills in bread, pastry, savory foods, and large scale bakery production, packing, and maintenance.

  • Exhibit motivated interest in training and obtaining knowledge across multiple disciplines in a busy production environment
  • Understand and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, and all other equipment
  • Store food properly to prevent spoilage
  • Train on and execute prep work to specifications
  • Maintain quality in production while working at a fast pace
  • Understanding and execution of kitchen cleaning
  • Properly complete checklists, provide documentation
  • Pack products based on orders (mainly PM shift)
  • Works in accordance with all federal, state, and local safe production facility requirements

  • Basic communication & language skills
  • Ability to read and write at a high school level
  • Organizational skills
  • Motivated to learn and implement knowledge
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach, pull, push, and lift at least 50 lbs
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
