Bread and Baking Manager

The Troubadour Bakery Bread and Baking Manager is responsible for end-to-end production and fulfillment of bakery product orders for Colectivo Cafes and Troubadour wholesale customers. They are expected to develop staff member abilities, keep staff informed of pertinent information, and prove leadership to achieve financial and production goals of Troubadour. The Troubadour Bread and Baking Manager contributes to the vision of being world-famous with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for success.



  • Provide leadership on production floor to support a culture of continual improvement
  • Provide production support as needed
  • Create and implement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production and overall business performance
  • Create and implement production quality control procedures and standards
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and assess equipment
  • Works in accordance with all federal, state, and local safe production facility requirements with Research and Development to support innovation and create seamless transitions from product to product


  • Ensure food safe handling certification of all Troubadour employees
  • Maintain compliance with local and state agencies


  • Assist in Troubadour recruiting and hiring responsibilities
  • Provide Leadership as a role model, with integrity and empathy, communicate clear expectations, and consistently hold staff accountable to established performance standards
  • Manage co-workers to produce defined results
  • Provide timely and effective training, feedback, coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation to achieve improved skills, higher product standards, sanitation, and business success
  • Build a team of customer-focused employees with a focus on teamwork
  • Demonstrate leadership in employee development


  • Assist General Manager and other members of Troubadour to complete annual business plan with financial goals
  • Manage company resources responsibly, including inventory control
  • College degree in a business related field and/or a minimum of 3 years work experience in a professional bakery
  • Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
  • Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Must have experience with bakery or restaurant production of bakery and bread
  • Experience in training and coaching
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 2nd and 3rd shift
