The Data Engineer will serve as a key member of our IT team to drive company-wide data and analytics needs with a focus on operational excellence through dashboard creation, data organization, and insight gathering. This role will work closely with function leaders to drive meaningful action using our ever-growing datasets.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

●    Design and maintain analytic dashboards to drive performance awareness and actionable insights

●    Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business needs and develop business solutions

●    Develop and evolve data systems

●    Document business and technical requirements by working collaboratively with key business stakeholders

●    Partner with business and IT peers to understand data requirements, formulate use cases, and translate to actionable goals and objectives

●    Manage BI administration and permissions following best practices including using roles, groups, and user attributes

●    Manage data across business systems to provide unified analytics

●    Serve as a liaison between key business stakeholders and IT to manage the strategy used to enable data-driven business solutions

●    Utilize business data to make suggestions for continuous improvement

●    Support best practice sharing efforts in support of education and development between functions

●    Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

●    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or other related field

●    3 or more years of experience in business analysis in the data and analytics space.

●    1+ years of process documentation experience, data management or governance products preferred

●    Business experience with MySQL, Crystal Reports, and other data languages

●    Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Looker, DataStudio, and other BIplatforms

●    Self-motivated individual with a balance of technical acumen and analysis skills to deliver on our commitment of remarkable people, products and places

●    Understanding of interdependencies of information flow across information systems and business processes

●    Working knowledge of information governance and metadata management functions and processes

●    Experience with information governance or data cataloging tools preferred

●    Technical proficiency with database architecture and data modeling

●    Passion for solving business problems with technology

●    Flexible enough to work through ambiguity and bring clarity in a fast-paced environment
