The primary responsibility of the Roaster is to roast green coffee to the standard set by Colectivo in a safe and efficient manner as it relates to Colectivo’s Mission and Vision.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Roast green coffee according to Colectivo’s specification in a consistent, efficient and safe manner
Responsible for cupping and tasting different varieties of coffee to help build sensory knowledge
Monitor daily inventory and adjust roasted coffee production accordingly
Organize and maintain green coffee and roasted coffee storage areas
Clean and maintain roasters/roasting areas to ensure personal and co-worker safety and product integrity
Continuing coffee knowledge and education by attending industry events, classes and reviewing industry publications
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Interest and passion for quality coffee is a must
Ability to stay focused and attentive to repetitive tasks is essential
Ability to train, use and operate a forklift
Ability to lift at least 100lbs throughout the day
Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment
