Colectivo’s first-ever official Riverwest 24 team — The Colectivo Cycle Riders (#CCRiders) — had a fantastic time competing in this year’s race.
We pedaled hard through the 24-hour bike race, which celebrates the Riverwest neighborhood while raising awareness for urban biking. In all, CCRiders Eddie G. (Foundry), Rick G. and Andrew P. (Humboldt), Hector S. (Third Ward), Marco C. (Roasting), and Scott L. (Training) logged 253 miles, 55 laps, and 39 bonus laps. That’s a total of 94 laps, and we still had time for a little party at our base-camp in the Colectivo warehouse garage.
Hats off to all of the baristas who worked at our increasingly busy “Shot Stop” next to the race course, providing free shots of our Toro Espresso to fuel cyclists around the clock. The Shot Stop crew made espresso from 25lbs. of Toro, and served more than 500 shot-takers.
Thanks again to everyone who made this year’s event a great success!
